Yesterday I went to Amersfoort to see how my photo book, Caucasian Encounters was printed at Wilco art books. I am very happy with the printing. Next step will be the binding of the book. I expect the book to be completely ready next week!

At midnight the crowdfunding officially ended. I want to thank everybody again who helped and supported me in whichever way.

October, 2016 | UPDATE CROWDFUNDING
I would like to thank everybody for this great kickstart of my crowdfunding for the publication. I managed to get 25% of the total amount with a little less than a month to go.
However, lately the fundings slowed down a bit, and to get there, I need more donations to succeed the project.

October, 2016 | CROWDFUNDING FOR PUBLICATION
In de periode van 2014 - 2016 ben ik meerdere malen naar de Kaukasus afgereisd om te werken aan de fotoserie 'Caucasian encounters'. Het is het project waar ik de afgelopen twee jaar mee bezig ben geweest en mijn ideeën en energie in heb gestoken.
Als afsluiting van dit project wil ik heel graag een fotoboek maken. Op het crowdfunding platform www.voordekunst.nl probeer ik dit te realiseren.
Caucasian encounters zal mijn allereerste publicatie worden die ik in eigen beheer uit wil brengen. Om het project te realiseren zijn er verschillende mensen die mij helpen, maar jullie steun is essentieel. Met het opgehaalde bedrag wil ik de drukkosten van het boek betalen. Het resterende bedrag steek ik in de verdere afronding van het project.
Op de website is meer over het project te lezen en staat ook alles beschreven over mijn tegenprestaties. Ik hoop dat jullie mijn project willen steunen!

Between 2014 - 2016 I travelled multiple times to the Caucasus to work on the photo series Caucasian encounters.

On sunday 14 of august my exposition 'Caucasian encounters' will officially open in Stroop Rotterdam.
The opening will be at 15:00. The show will run till 28 of August.
You are invited to come over to have a talk, a drink and a delicious stroopwaffle.

June, 2016 | CHANGE OF DATES OPENING STROOP EXPO
*OPENING OF STROOP EXPO CHANGED TO 14 OF AUGUST*
My work will still be on display on 3 of July, but the official opening will be after the summerstop, on 14 of August.

June, 2016 | UPCOMING EXHIBITION
During July and August my work will be on display in Stroop.
Stroop is a special place and beautiful initiative by two architects. They serve delicious stroopwafels, have monthly expositions, workshops, concerts and much more.
The exhibition will be on display from 3 of july until 28 of august (From 11 of july until 10 of august Stroop will have a summer stop)

Today I uploaded some new pictures on my website for the “caucasian encounters” series that I made during the last trip to the caucasus. Currently I am busy working with the negatives and starting to make prints. Over the coming days I will upload more pictures to my website for this serie.
As an closure, I am also working on a small publication for this serie, which I hope will be released mid 2016. Information and updates about the proces will be posted on my website in the news section.
Januari, 2016 | IN PROCES
In October and November I went to Georgia, Armenia and eastern Turkey for my photo-project "Caucasian encounters". The past few days I have been very busy with developing my films and processing them. Expect in the coming two weeks some test prints on my website and Facebook page!
